The Billabong Band is the Victorian Folk Music Club's own performance group and is probably the longest established band in Australia playing traditional music for Bush / Colonial dances and for concerts. The line-up is variable and depends on which musicians are available at the time.
Several bush bands who perform at our monthly dances also volunteer their services to introduce youngsters to the joys of dance and intimate live music. We welcome additional bands to join us. Towards the end of each year, our dance convenor organises a schedule for the next year in consultation with the bands.
If your band is interested in joining us, please contact Jane, the dance convenor for details.
VFMC is optimistic that due to easing of the Covid-19 virus restrictions, all our normal, face-to-face dance events will be able to recommence in April 2021. Please check the status of this event before attending.
